MON-FRI 10am to 1pm

A warm welcome awaits you, so why not visit our shop and browse through the many books we have for sale.
We’ll even offer you a cup of tea or coffee!

Good Books Christian Bookshop and Resource Centre exists to serve the churches and communities of West Dorset/East Devon.

We sell new and second-hand adults’ and children’s books, greetings cards, gifts and church supplies (candles, altar breads, Baptism cards etc).  We have the Jo O’Farrell Memorial Quiet Corner where visitors can rest, enjoy a drink or read a book.

In the past we were also a hub for several community projects: Threads of Hope, Pathways to Care (incorporating Bridport and District Good Neighbours Scheme and Hopeful Hampers), the Bridport Book of Hours, and also a monthly Book Club. At present those associated with us are Pathways to Care (Good Neighbours Scheme and Hopeful Hampers.) If you are interested in volunteering to help out in the shop, as a driver, or with the hampers please ring or come in to collect an application form.

Thanks to a committed band of gifted volunteers, we are open weekdays from 10am to 1pm.
